Course content:
Students will study all contemporary subjects related to management. Subjects are common for all students in the first four semesters. During the fifth and sixth semesters, a student may select specialisation subjects. Some of the major subjects covered are: Introduction to Modern Business, Business Laws, Business Communication, Organisational Behaviour, Marketing Management, Cost Accounting, Project Management,

Course : Autonomous Program
Objective: Students are introduced to the functioning and structure of media companies. The module explores the fascinating media industry including Advertising, Television, Radio and Music. Understanding media organisations and developing conceptual strategies for media industries are the core areas which students learn through case studies. The focus is to discover the current paradigms within the industry regarding the production, marketing and distribution of content and management.
The module includes theoretical as well as practical aspects and an individual prepares a business and strategy plan for a media organisation defining his career objectives.
Course Content: The module includes principles of management and its significance in the media sector, Ownership structures of media organisations in India, Organisational functions, Economics of print and electronic media, from strategising to budgeting and costing, Overview of Indian Media Industry. Developing analytical skills by analysing case studies and visits to media organizations.
